Spanish Primera Liga club, Granada, has expressed delight over Ikechukwu Uche's invitation by Stephen Keshi for next weekend's 2013 African Cup of Nations qualifier between Rwanda and Nigeria holding at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali.
The resurgent side also featuring Uche's compatriot, Odion Jude Ighalo, also acknowledged the invitation extended by Cameroon to Nyom for the home clash against Guinea Bissau.
After coming in as a 58th minute replacement for Ighalo, Uche scored twice for Granada in Sunday's 4-1 defeat of Real Sociedad, 'taking his tally for the club he joined in the summer on loan from Villarreal to three.
Uche's calmness and precision place him shoulders above the numerous strike options at Stephen Keshi's disposal.
Nigeria will be needing much of these in a bid to qualify for the next edition of the African Mundial, having sorely missed the last jointly staged by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
