Chairman of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Cross River State Chapter, Bishop Emmah Gospel Isong, has predicted difficult times for President GoodLuck Jonathan and therefore called on Nigerians to pray for God's intervention to curtail the national threat.
Similarly, Isong, who is the President of Christian Central Chapel International (CCCI), Calabar, called for serious prayers and God's grace for the governors of Akwa Ibom, Chief Godswill Akpabio, and Imo State, Chief Rochas Okorocha, as he predicted that they would face heavy political battle from their opposing political camps.
The PFN Boss revealed among other things that, 'The Presidency of this country needs prayers to surmount all temptations and tribulations that will come up against the seat of power in 2012 as a result of Boko Haram threat.'
According to him, Boko Haram is an evil wind that blows no good, but urged the Presidency to take solace in the fact that the wind will not last as God will soon intervene to end the evil wind.
'As a wind the Lord said it shall not last forever; but because it is a wind that blows no good it come and it shall go, it does not last forever and the Lord said in a few months away I will drive them away, but the glory shall not be given to anybody other than to God,' said the Tele-evangelist.
He further said, 'dangers lurk around peaceful co-existence as we shall witness lots of street fighting and violent reactions leading to the 6-days of road blocks and national pandemonium and the international community called it a black week for Nigeria; it was the worst of the fight and the end of the fight; we should pray for God's intervention in our national security.'
But he warned that '2012 will not augur well for these evil men as a lot of them shall be caught and jailed and be made to restore sevenfold that which they destroyed or killed in the process for it shall be a year of vengeance on all social vices.
Taking a critical look at the political scene, Bishop Isong, said: '2012 the Presidency shall witness a lot of international politics as so many envoys, personalities shall be arriving the seat of power for consultations thereby increasing our international relations as well as boosting our image internationally.'
Still on the political situation in the country, the vocal Man of God sounded a note of warning to some prominent politicians particularly Governor Liyel Imoke, Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom and Rochas Okorocha of Imo States to be extra careful during this critical period because they share the same fate, stressing that this is the time for them to get closer to God.
For Akwa Ibom State Governor, Godswill Akpabio, he averred, 'It shall be a year of great reconciliation in Akwa Ibom State, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State will go through serious shaking that will make him to have reconciliation with a lot people in opposition camps; Lord said to me I will shake Akwa Ibom, we should pray hard to avert violence,' calling on 'his Imo State counterpart to be watchful and do the right thing for the masses because they laid down their lives for him to emerge.'
Fondly called 'political prophet' within the South-South geo-political zone, Isong said, 'There shall be confusion in Cross River State PDP nomination as they will be a major shaking within the party during primaries; there shall be a big shaking and betrayals that who so ever emerge will be by the favour of the people not by their power.'
In his over 50-point prediction, he stated unequivocally that, 'the country will witness some radical changes in the socio-economic and political changes in the country and gave hope to the girl-child education, saying 'there shall be Federal Government attention to girl-child education this year and it shall witness increase on enrolment in schools across the country; there shall be harmonisation and collaboration with international agencies to boost our education.'
While insisting that against all odds this year shall usher in some goodies, he charged them to come close to God and show penitence, calling on Christians to Pray for the body of Christ that they may enter prophetic realm that the Lord has kept for them and speak in one voice in the light of the persecution of the church especially in the North.
